Clean your teak garden furniture regularly and the table after each use. Teak wood requires little maintenance, but the better it is treated, the longer it will last. Regularly and immediately after use, clean the wooden top of the table with a wet cloth to prevent liquids from penetrating deep into the wood. A table treated with our &moss Teak Protector will be less likely to absorb liquids and will therefore stay clean longer. To remove stubborn dirt, simply use a soft brush and some water. Be careful not to permanently damage the fibers. For this reason, you should never use a pressure washer to clean wood.
Teak Cleaner
Depending on the weather conditions, teak wood will need to be thoroughly cleaned at least once a year. We recommend doing this just before spring and just before winter if your furniture will be left outside all year. Choose a cloudy day with high humidity for this. After all, it is better for the moisture in the wood to evaporate slowly after cleaning. For a thorough cleaning we recommend &moss Teak Cleaner. This product restores the colour from weathered discoloured wood and cleans teak thoroughly and deeply. It also removes dirt and stains.

Our woven rattan furniture is made from the highest quality KUBU rattan. Rattan is a natural product and will grey over time. Simple cleaning with water and mild soap twice a year is sufficient.
It is not wise to leave your rattan garden furniture outside in the winter. During winter, store the furniture in a dry and closed place. This will significantly extend the life of your rattan garden furniture.
Daily cleaning
&moss’s cast iron garden furniture does not require much maintenance. The cast iron is protected from moisture by a high-gloss black powder coating. The Iroko hardwood is provided with no less than four layers of lacquer. Therefore, the cast iron garden furniture of &moss can remain outside throughout the year. A few tips to keep your garden furniture in optimal condition: clean your furniture regularly and after each use with lukewarm water and possibly a dash of car shampoo with wax in the water.
Yearly cleaning
To ensure that the cast iron retains its luster and fly and bird droppings do not have a chance to damage the lacquered planks, we recommend to put the cast iron garden furniture in car wax once a year.
The cast iron garden furniture of &moss can be left outside all year round with confidence. The use of cast iron in combination with hardwood gives you a low maintenance and weather resistant garden furniture.
We recommend that you protect your cushions from heavy rain. When the cushions are wet, hang them to dry to prevent mold from forming on the inside.
Protect your cushions from direct sunlight and turn them over regularly. The fabrics are extremely UV-protected and water-repellent, but do not protect against heavy rain. We recommend placing the cushions inside or covering them with a cover during inclement weather.
Sunbrella® is still known as the very best fabric for outdoor cushions. Sunbrella is namely resistant to all kinds of weather. This is possible because of the powerful properties of this beautiful material. The raw material consists of Sunbrella® acrylic fibers dyed in the mass. The colour pigments are already mixed in the heart of the fibres at the beginning of the production process, before the thread is pulled. As a result, Sunbrella® colours remain beautiful for years, despite exposure to sunlight and extreme weather conditions.
Spills are best treated immediately by placing a sheet of moisture-absorbing kitchen paper on top. Sunbrella’s water-repellent coating prevents droplets from soaking in the fabric.
Shake or wipe away loose dirt. Make a solution of water and mild soap, such as Woolite or Dreft dish soap, to remove stains on Sunbrella. Apply the solution with a sponge or cloth. Allow it to soak in for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap residue. Allow the cushion to dry in the open air.
If you have stubborn stains in your Sunbrella cushions, they can be washed in the washing machine at 30°C. Never tumble dry the cushions and do not dry clean them. Before washing, remove the filling from the Sunbrella cushions and close all the zippers.
1. Wash them in the washing machine with cold water on the gentle cycle with a mild detergent. For severe mildew, add a cup of bleach. For stubborn stains and/or mildew, more bleach may be used.
2. Allow the fabric to air dry. Never put the cushions in the tumble dryer or have them dry-cleaned.
3. The fabric may be wrinkled after washing. Ironing helps to restore the water repellent film on the fabric, but only at low iron temperatures. Test first on a small inconspicuous area to make sure the temperature is not too high. Never use steam.
4. Reinsert the filling into the cushion cover.
