Our history

Authentic, handmade cast iron garden benches: that’s where the story of &moss began. About 20 years ago, Thea & Herman Kroneman bought everything they needed to make these benches and sell them from the garage behind their house. The reason? The limited supply of beautiful garden furniture with affordable pricing. It had to be possible to do it otherwise!

Soon they noticed that not only the supply of cast-iron garden furniture was little, but that there was also very limited choice when it came to wooden garden furniture. Hence, the first container of luxury teak wood soon followed from Indonesia. Due to the great success, within a few years they transformed their garage into a beautiful showroom to provide even better service to their customers. They also opened an external warehouse to deliver even faster and more efficiently.

Over the past few years, &moss has continued to grow. The garage has made way for a spacious showroom, the warehouse has more than doubled in size and the team has also expanded considerably. Together with the proud founders and owners Thea & Herman, they work on a daily basis to design, produce, sell and deliver the unique &moss garden furniture collection.
